GLASS FACIAL

Our Glass Facial is a type of mesotherapy, which is a superficial form of microneedling. This treatment creates microchannels in the skin, allowing targeted serums and neuromodulators to penetrate deeper into the dermis. The result is smoother skin, improved tone and texture, reduced fine lines, and diminished scars, leaving the skin with a tight, radiant, glass-like appearance. The serums are carefully "stamped" into the skin using a device with multiple tiny needles for enhanced absorption and effectiveness.

What is the treatment process like?

Mesotherapy is generally well-tolerated on the pain scale. During the treatment, microneedles are gently stamped into the skin, allowing a customized serum cocktail to deeply infuse into the skin. For added comfort, an anesthetic cream will be applied to the treatment area. Multiple passes on the face or body ensure complete coverage and optimal absorption of the product.

A variety of serums can be blended to create a personalized cocktail for each client. Common options include Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, VAMP™, and the star ingredient: Botox/Dysport to give the "glass effect". Each serum is selected based on individual needs and desired outcomes.

Where can the Glass Facial be performed?

Commonly performed on the face, mesotherapy can also be applied to:

● Neck

● Décolletage

● Hands

● Scalp

● Scars

● Stretch marks

How many Glass Facial treatments do I need?

Similar to microneedling, a series of 3 to 6 treatments is recommended for optimal results, with sessions spaced out 4 weeks apart. A personalized treatment plan will be discussed during your consultation to ensure the best approach for your skin's needs.

How long does the Glass Facial last?

Results from the Glass Facial are immediately visible, with a noticeable glow and refreshed appearance. Over a series of treatments, fine lines, scars, skin texture, and tone will continue to improve. For the best long-term results, it’s recommended to maintain regular facials and incorporate medical-grade skincare into your routine.

What are the common side effects of Mesotherapy?

Side effects are similar to microneedling and include:

● Redness

● Swelling

● Discomfort

● Infection

● Irritation

How do I prep before and after my Mesotherapy treatment?

Before your glass facial appointment at Vamped Cosmetics, please avoid taking blood thinners like Advil or Aspirin for at least 24 hours before and after treatment. If you're on a prescribed blood thinner, do not stop your medication, but please be aware that you may be at a higher risk of bruising and bleeding. Omega-3 supplements and certain multivitamins can also thin the blood, so it’s best to stop taking them 2-3 days before your treatment. Additionally, please refrain from consuming alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

If you're prone to bruising or swelling, consider taking Arnica, a natural anti-inflammatory supplement available at most health stores or pharmacies.

After your treatment, it’s important to avoid touching or washing your face for at least 2 hours. Makeup and skincare products should be avoided until any scabbing subsides, typically within 24 to 48 hours. If your skin feels dry, you may apply an unscented moisturizer. Gentle, unscented cleansers can be used after the 2-hour post-treatment period.

For hygiene, change your pillowcase the night of your treatment to reduce the risk of infection. Refrain from consuming alcohol for 24 hours to minimize bruising and swelling. Taking Arnica and applying ice to the treated area can also help reduce these side effects.

Avoid hot showers for 24 hours post-treatment to minimize inflammation and irritation. Additionally, refrain from facials, hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms for one week to prevent infection and prolonged redness. Sleeping on your face should also be avoided to reduce skin irritation.
